Privacy Policy

1. Application of this Privacy Policy

  • This is the ‘Privacy Policy’ of Paragon Business Solutions Ltd. in relation to the use of the Platform or Services by the User. This Privacy Policy is in addition to the Terms of Service entered into between Paragon and the User and by accepting the Terms of Service, the User also agrees to and accepts this Privacy Policy. The capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as defined in the Terms of Service unless the said terms are specifically defined herein.
  • Paragon respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through its compliance with its privacy policies. This Policy describes:
    • The types of information that Paragon may collect from you when you access or use its Platform and Services; and
    • Its practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information
  • This policy applies only to the information Paragon collects through its Platform and Services and DOES NOT apply to information that you provide to, or that is collected by any External Service Provider or third-party payment gateways.Paragon encourages you to consult directly with such External Service Providers and third-party payment gateways about their privacy practices.
  • Please read this Policy carefully to understand Paragon’s policies and practices regarding User Content and how Paragon will treat it. By accessing or using the Platform and/or Services and/or registering for an account with the Platform, you agree to this Privacy Policy and you consent to Paragon’s collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of your personal information as described herein. If you do not provide the information Paragon requires, Paragon may notbe able to provide all of its Services to you.
  • This policy may change from time to time, your continued use of Paragon’s Services or Platform after it makes any change is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

2. The information collected by the Platform

  • Paragon collects several types of information from and about Users of our Services and Platform, including:
    • Your personal information (“PI”) is the information that can be associated with a specific person and could be used to identify that specific person whether from that data or from the data and other information that the Platform has. Such PI will include the User’s name, date of birth/age, postal address, email address, phone number, etc. It shall be mandatory for the User to provide such PI for identifying the User to enable the use of the Platform.
    • Your other personal information (“OPI”) such as images, preferences, and information required for availing the services of External Service Providers such as car washing, pet sitting/dog walking, restaurants, salon, etc. It shall be optional for the User to provide such OPI if the User wishes to avail of further features available on the Platform
    • Information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access the Platform and/or Services, and your usage details such as preferences.
  • The above mentioned information is collected:
    • Directly from the User when the User enters the same on the Platform; and/or
    • Automatically as the User navigates through the Platform and Services (information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies).

3. Use of the information collected

  • Paragon uses the abovementioned information for a variety of purposes, including to:
    • Process and respond to Users’ queries;
    • Understand our Users (what they do on our Platform / Services, what features they like, how they use them, etc.), improve the content and features of the Platform / Services (such as by personalizing content to Users’ interests), process and complete your transactions, and make special offers;
    • Administer our Services and diagnose technical problems;
    • Send you communications that you have requested or reminders for the services you have availed or features of the Platform that may be of interest to you by way of email or notifications on your device;
    • Generate and review reports and data about, and to conduct research on, our User base and Service usage pattern;
    • Provide you with customer support;
    • Provide you with policies about your account;
    • Carry out Paragon’s obligations and enforce Paragon’s rights arising from any contracts entered into by Paragon for providing the said Platform or Services to the User;
    • Notify the User about changes to Platform / Services;
    • Allow the User to participate in interactive features offered through the Services;
    • In any other way Paragon may describe when the User provides information;
    • For any other purpose with the User’s consent.
  • The PI, OPI and other information collected from you are encrypted and stored on cloud-based servers. We do not monetize the information collected from the User by sharing it with third parties. The information collected by the Platform is used for the purposes of the Platform.

4. How we share the information we collect

Paragon may disclose personal information that is collected from or provided by the Use as described in this Privacy Policy, in the following ways:

  • General Information Disclosures
    • To our subsidiaries and affiliates, which are entities under common ownership or control of our ultimate parent company Paragon Business Solutions Ltd.
    • To External Service Providers, Staff and the management of the building using the platform.
    • To a successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Paragon’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Paragon about the users of our Services are among the assets transferred.
    • To fulfill the purpose for which the User provided it
    • For any other purpose disclosed by Paragon when the User provides the information.
    • For Legal Purposes. Paragon may share User’s information when we believe in good faith that such sharing is reasonably necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible illegal activities or to comply with legal process. Paragon may also share User’s information to investigate and address threats or potential threats to the physical safety of any person, to investigate and address violations of this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service, or to investigate and address violations of the rights of third parties and/or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Paragon, its employees, users, or the public. This may involve the sharing of the User’s information with law enforcement, government agencies, courts, and/or other organizations on account of legal requests such as court orders or government demands to comply with the law.
    • By Consent. Paragon may share the User’s information in any other circumstances where the User has given consent.
  • Payment Card Information
    • To use certain Services, such as to pay External Service Providers, you may be required to provide credit or debit card or bank account information. By submitting your credit or debit card account information through our Services, you expressly consent to the sharing of your information with third-party payment processors or payment gateways (including but not limited to vendors who provide fraud detection services to us and other third parties).
    • You acknowledge that when you use a credit or debit card or bank account details to pay an External Service Provider, Paragon does not retain the said information and passes the same on to the third-party payment processor. Paragon merely retains an encrypted payment transaction detail in order to identify whether the transaction has been processed or not.

5. Analytics

  • To help us better understand your use of the Services, we may use third-party web analytics on our Services, such as Google Analytics. These service providers use technology to automatically collect certain usage-related information from the Platform. The information collected by this technology will be disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers, who may use the information to evaluate the Users’ use of the Services. To prevent Google Analytics from collecting or using your information, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser add-on.

6. Communication choices

  • When you sign up for an account on the Platform, you opt in to receive notifications from the Platform and other Users on the Platform. You can manage your notification preferences in the settings on the Platform, but you cannot opt out of receiving certain administrative policy, service policy, or legal policy notifications from Paragon.

7. Reviewing, changing or deleting information

  • If you would like to review, change or delete personal information provided by you on the Platform, or permanently delete your account, please use the “Contact Us” option on the Platform.

8. Accessing & correcting your personal information

  • Paragon will take reasonable steps to accurately record the personal information that the User provides to Paragon and any subsequent updates that the User informs Paragon of
  • Paragon encourages the User to review, update, and correct the personal information that the Platform maintains about the User, and the User may request that Paragon delete personal information about the User that is inaccurate, incomplete, or irrelevant for legitimate purposes, or are being processed in a way which infringes any applicable legal requirement

9. Security measures taken to protect User’s information

  • Paragon has implemented appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access to the Users’ information and to maintain data security. These safeguards take into account the sensitivity of the information that Paragon collects, processes and stores and the current state of technology. Paragon follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to it, both during transmission and upon receipt. The third-party service providers with respect to payment gateway and payment processing are all validated as compliant with the payment card industry standard.
  • Paragon assumes no liability or responsibility for disclosure of the User’s information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond Paragon’s control. The User plays an important role in keeping the User’s personal information secure. The User should not share its username, password, or other security information about the User’s account with anyone. If Paragon receives instructions using your username and password, Paragon will consider that the User has authorized the instructions.

10. Permissible Age

  • The Services are not intended for users under the age of 18. Paragon does not knowingly collect any personal information from Users or market to or solicit information from
    anyone under this permissible age. If Paragon becomes aware that a person submitting personal information is under the permissible age, Paragon will delete the account and any related information as soon as possible. If the User believes the Paragon might have any information from or about a User under the permissible age, please contact Paragon through the “Contact Us” link on the Platform.

11. Third-party links and services

  • The Services may contain links to third-party websites. The User’s use of these features may result in the collection, processing or sharing of information about the User, depending on the feature. Please be aware that Paragon is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites or services which may be linked on the Platform / Services. Paragon does not endorse or make any representations about third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not cover the information the User chooses to provide to or that is collected by these third parties. Paragon strongly encourages the User to read such third parties’ privacy policies.

12. Data retention and account termination

  • The User can close its account by visiting the settings option on the Platform. Upon receiving such a request from the User, Paragon will remove the User’s account details
    from the view of other Users. But Paragon may retain information about the User for the purposes authorized under this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law. Paragon may either delete the User’s personal information or de-identify it so that it is anonymous and not attributed to the User’s identity. For example, Paragon may retain information to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service or to comply with legal obligations. In case such a closure of account is requested by the User, Paragon will not be responsible for the consequences which may arise out of any rules, regulations or by-laws of the building using the platform which mandate the use of the Platform for the Users.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

  • Paragon reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, Paragon’s data collection and use practices, the features of Services, or advances in technology. Please check this page periodically for changes. Use of information that is collected by Paragon is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If Paragon makes any material changes to this Privacy Policy, Paragon will post the changes here. Please review the changes carefully. The User’s continued use of the Services following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute the User’s consent and acceptance of those changes.
